I don’t typically do try-on haul blog posts. I usually save that sort of thing for Instagram and LiketoKnow.it, but I figured since I’ve made 2 recent trips to Old Navy in the last week I might as well share all my finds in a blog post. Especially since I was so excited that they have their fitting rooms opened again!
One thing I like about Old Navy is that year after year they have their same basic styles, but each year they make little changes here and there with new prints and new colors. I have my favorite basic Old Navy pieces in my closet and I’m always excited to see when they bring them back for the following season.
In the last week, I’ve made 2 trips to 2 different Old Navy stores in my area. I was mostly shopping for the kid’s fall clothes, but I couldn’t help myself but try on a few things that I had been eyeing online and things that caught my eye in the store.
Try-on session #1:
I love this little leopard print swing dress. It’s lightweight and easy to style. I tried on a small and it fit perfectly. I also love this blush colored cozy cardigan (Currently they don’t have the blush color in stock online.) I’m wearing a small. This cardigan is on my wishlist. I’m just waiting for the right sale! I also love these booties! I’m a 7 1/2, but Old Navy doesn’t ever carry half sizes at their stores so I usually size down to a size 7 and it fits better than the 8.
These button fly jeans were probably my least favorite thing I tried on. I tried them in a size 2, and they felt a little big around the waist and there wasn’t much stretch to them. I did love this leopard sweatshirt (size small). It’s cropped and looks cute tucked into my jeans. I really loved the colors in this striped long sleeve crew neck t-shirt. Perfect for fall!
I’m a huge fan of Old Navy swing tank tops! I think they look great for layering under cardigans in the fall! I have a couple at home, but I was eyeing the olive green.
Try-on session #2:
I still don’t know how I feel about camo, but I did love these joggers. They are a sweatshirt material, the same as a black pair I bought last year (HERE). I sized down to an extra small and these fit perfectly! I also loved this button t-shirt. It’s great for wearing with my joggers at home, plus the buttons make it ideal for nursing so this top came home with me.
I am obsessed with this sweater. I want it in every color! It’s very similar to my favorite tan sweater from last year (HERE), just the updated version. I really loved the green and white stripes. I thought it was a good way to add a little color to my mostly neutral fall wardrobe. I tried it on in a size small and as you can see it looks cute with so many bottoms! For bottoms, I tried on both these black and white jeans in a size 2. The black fit perfectly, but I found the white ones to be a little tight around my thighs, which always happens for me with white jeans. I also tried this button front mid-length denim skirt. I always think this length looks so cute on other people, but when I try it on I feel like I’m too short.
I LOVED this sweater tank and I almost bought it, but with the Michigan fall being so short, I decided against it. I just don’t think I’ll wear it as much as I’d like, but I don’t know. I might go back for it.
I’m always talking about the perfect striped t-shirt and this is it. If only it was long sleeves and a crew neck I would have bought it. I had to try on this cute leopard tank top (size small). It’s so cute under the cream color cozy cardigan!
I also saw this copper color tunic top that I loved!! I tried it on in a medium because they didn’t have a small. It’s an oversized fit, but I might go for the bigger size because Old Navy clothes are known for shrinking. I’ll be back for this top when I see it for a better price!
So I only came home with one thing for me, and the rest was for the kiddos. I’m loving their basic kid clothes. I’m all about the onesies, dresses, and ruffled butt leggings for Anna. For Jack, I’m loving their joggers and thermal t-shirts.
