Summer is all about slowing down and not taking life so seriously. We all get out of our normal routine a little in the summertime. Kids are out of school, there’s more vacations and we’re outside more often. Our wardrobe usually shifts to the casual side. I like to keep my summer outfits easy. I don’t like to think about it, so it’s always nice to have a wardrobe full of casual summer staples.

I don’t know about you, but this last year has put me into an outfit rut. I am so stuck in my comfy lounge wear clothes that it’s hard sometimes for me to switch it up and actually wear real clothes. I love creating outfits and sharing them on the blog, but when the time comes to actually put together an outfit to go somewhere in, I just can’t decided. I always end up wearing the same thing which is usually something really comfortable. Now that the weather is getting warmer and we are actually leaving the house more, I am trying to wear more of my clothes and get creative with my outfits again. Denim shorts are an important wardrobe staple that I don’t think should be ignored. I love denim shorts, but I’ve always struggled finding the right pair. So many denim shorts in stores are made for teenagers and I’m defiantly not looking for the same fit of denim shorts I wore when I was younger. I want something high waisted, not too short or too tight. Something with distressing, but not too distressed. I want one pair of denim shorts that I can wear with anything in my wardrobe. How to Style a Spring Moto Jacket

Hi Friends! I am pretty excited about todays outfit post. With the weather finally warming up I’ve been trying to get more outfit photos done outside. I take all my photos myself and it’s not always easy to find a spot I feel comfortable setting up my tripod and taking pictures in an outfit, but I’ve been scoping out a few places and testing them out.
