Helping women love what they wear on a budget
Straight-leg jeans seem to be a hot topic at the moment. Ever since this idea that you are old if you still wear skinny jeans came about, everyone either seems to be running out and getting straight-leg jeans or holding their ground strong and refusing to wear them. Now I am not saying that I will be getting rid of my skinny jeans any time soon. I still prefer them over straight-leg jeans, but I do like to have a variety of jeans in my wardrobe. This helps my outfits stay fresh.

As everyone has been shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale the last couple of weeks, I have been shopping for look-a-like items from the sale for less. (You can check out all my favorite splurges and saves from my recent post HERE!!) One of my favorite items in the nsale was this neutral-colored cotton midi dress. I loved its style, so I knew I had to find a similar dress for less. I ended up finding this crew neck neutral-colored midi dress on Amazon for $13 less than the Nordstrom dress. I am so happy with my purchase. This dress fits perfectly! It’s true to size (I’m wearing a small) and it hits me at the perfect length, which is not always easy for me when buying midi dresses because I’m only 5’1. Most are either knee length or maxis on me.
I don’t know about you but I got pretty excited when I saw that biker shorts were back in style. As a kid in the early 90’s I loved wearing biker shorts. I had little matching sets with matching skirts. They were the best!

Denim shorts are an important wardrobe staple that I don’t think should be ignored. I love denim shorts, but I’ve always struggled finding the right pair. So many denim shorts in stores are made for teenagers and I’m defiantly not looking for the same fit of denim shorts I wore when I was younger. I want something high waisted, not too short or too tight. Something with distressing, but not too distressed. I want one pair of denim shorts that I can wear with anything in my wardrobe.
