Anna is 5 months and I can’t believe how quickly this year is flying by. Anna continues to be the light of my 2020. This month Anna has lived through her first Halloween and her first Presidential election. Both events she didn’t seem to notice very much. She’s such a happy little baby. She is completely clueless about any of the drama that surrounds this year. She’s just in her happy little baby world and I love it.

She’s rolling around everywhere and I know she is wanting to move around, but I’m hoping she will hold off long enough for us to baby proof the house. I love her smiles. She has the sweetest laugh and when she cries it’s like she just got her feelings hurt. I know I’m her mom, but I think she’s the sweetest little girl ever.
As a parent, we are always concerned about the safety of our children, especially when they are babies. From the moment they are born we start to worry. When I brought my children home from the hospital, I didn’t want them to be far from me, especially at night. It was important for my babies to sleep close to me in those first few months so that I could be sure they were safe. I’d often find myself waking up in the middle of the night just to make sure that they were still breathing. With Jack, I kept him in our room until he was 3 months old, then moved him into his own room to his crib. His room was right next to our bedroom and I could hear him easily with the door opened. I never registered for a baby monitor, because at the time we had a little one-story condo and I didn’t have a need for it. The second-time-around with Anna, things are a little different.
