7 Month Baby Update

I was going to skip a 7-month update blog post and wait until 9 months, but I feel like Anna has met so many big milestones this month that I just can’t skip it. We celebrated Anna’s first Christmas and her first New Year. Now we are moving into 2021 and I’m so excited that I get to start a new year with her in it.
Anna is officially on the move. I knew it was going to happen soon enough. She is army crawling everywhere! If she sees something she wants, she will do whatever she needs to get to it and put it in her mouth. She especially goes out of her way to crawl to our iPhones, the remote, and her brother’s toys. She’s also popping out teeth like crazy. She now has 4 teeth and 2 on the way! I am a little caught off guard by all these teeth showing up. I wasn’t expecting them so soon. Luckily the first teeth didn’t seem to bother her too much, but this next set of teeth that are coming through have made her extra clingy. Hopefully, she will get a break soon.

I don’t know why, but maternity fashion is always overwhelming for most pregnant women. I think that we tell ourselves that we are supposed to dress in a different way because we are pregnant and our bodies are growing. We tell ourselves that we need to buy “maternity clothes”. The truth is, when it comes to your maternity fashion, nothing needs to change. You can wear the same outfits that you always wore before you were pregnant, and you can continue to wear those outfits long after your pregnancy. All you need to do is invest in a few maternity pieces here and there (read more on what maternity clothes to buy HERE) to help fit over your growing belly, but overall, you should be able to get by with buying the bare minimum amount of maternity clothes.

Just like I shared my favorite clothes purchases of 2020 (Read about that HERE), I wanted to round up and review some of my beauty purchases of the year. I know that many people might think that 2020 wasn’t the best year to be buying many beauty products since most of us spent the year at home, but for me, 2020 was all about beauty products, especially makeup. Doing my makeup helped me get through the year. It made me feel good about myself and helped give me some normalcy in my life during all the chaos of 2020.
Cozy, Casual Real Life Stay-At-Home Mom Outfits
If 2020 taught me anything at all, it’s that you can never have enough loungewear. Between being a stay-at-home-mom, spending half the year pregnant, and then going through a global pandemic, my wardrobe has officially shifted to the casual side. Leggings, joggers, and slippers are my new go-to daily clothes. I do miss wearing jeans and getting ready to go somewhere every day, but I just don’t feel the motivation to get out of my cozy clothes any time soon. That doesn’t mean that I’m not going to put together cute cozy outfits. Just because you are wearing loungewear all day, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still feel cute and put together.
