When it comes to building a maternity wardrobe, it can often be overwhelming and a little confusing. Some people might think that you need to buy all your clothes in the maternity department when you are pregnant, but that’s not the case at all. Obviously, every woman is built differently and everyone starts showing at different times. I still believe that most women can get away with buying only a few essential maternity clothes in the maternity department.

Just like I shared my favorite clothes purchases of 2020 (Read about that HERE), I wanted to round up and review some of my beauty purchases of the year. I know that many people might think that 2020 wasn’t the best year to be buying many beauty products since most of us spent the year at home, but for me, 2020 was all about beauty products, especially makeup. Doing my makeup helped me get through the year. It made me feel good about myself and helped give me some normalcy in my life during all the chaos of 2020.
Cozy, Casual Real Life Stay-At-Home Mom Outfits
If 2020 taught me anything at all, it’s that you can never have enough loungewear. Between being a stay-at-home-mom, spending half the year pregnant, and then going through a global pandemic, my wardrobe has officially shifted to the casual side. Leggings, joggers, and slippers are my new go-to daily clothes. I do miss wearing jeans and getting ready to go somewhere every day, but I just don’t feel the motivation to get out of my cozy clothes any time soon. That doesn’t mean that I’m not going to put together cute cozy outfits. Just because you are wearing loungewear all day, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still feel cute and put together.

Easy Winter Layering Outfits
When it comes to dressing for winter, it’s all about layers. You always need to be prepared for changing temperatures outside and inside. I’ve never liked big bulky winter clothes, that’s why if you peek into my closet you will see lots of lighter clothes that can easily be layered.
The key to keeping your layered outfits comfortable is to avoid over-layering. You don’t want your outfit to feel stiff and hard to move in. No one wants to feel like the kid from A Christmas Story…hahaha. I like to stick with lightweight clothes. Most of my sweaters aren’t very thick and fit nicely under a jacket or over a button-down shirt. Read more
3 Easy Ways to Style a Plaid Scarf
Did you catch my latest reel style video over on Instagram? If not, I shared a few ways to style my favorite plaid scarf. (Check out my reel HERE) I bought this plaid scarf last December at a local second-hand store. I’ve been looking for a plaid scarf like this for years. I love that it has green and red, so it’s great to wear around the holidays, but I also wear it throughout the winter with my coats. Sometimes it’s tricky to figure out how to wear a scarf. You would think it would be pretty easy, but it’s not always.
