Last week, Kevin and I snuck off to Las Vegas to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary. It was our first vacation in over a year and the first time we left both kids overnight anywhere. It was a much-needed getaway for us after this long pandemic year. Today I want to share a little about our trip and what I wore in Las Vegas!

We are kind of pros when it comes to Las Vegas. We lived there for 4 years so we have been to pretty much every resort and casino in town. When it came to picking out a place to stay we knew we wanted a resort with a good pool and atmosphere. We ended up staying at Caesars Palaces because they have an amazing pool and it’s right at the heart of the strip. Our room was so nice. Kevin and I each had our own bathrooms and we had a perfect view of the pool.
What We Did in Las Vegas
Most of our time was spent relaxing at the pool or walking around the Linq, but the highlight of our trip was defiantly our anniversary dinner at Top of the World Restaurant. We always wanted to eat there when we lived in town, but the prices are expensive and it’s defiantly not a kid-friendly place if you plan on enjoying your $100 meal. That’s why we knew that it would be the perfect place to go for our anniversary. We both got lobster tail for dinner and we split the butter cake and ice cream for dessert. It was delicious! If you’re willing to spend the money on a fancy meal with a view I highly recommend adding Top of the World to your Vegas bucket list.
What I Wore in Las Vegas
Of course, I made Kevin my Instagram husband and take all my outfit photos for me each day so I could document what I wore in Las Vegas. I knew I had to put together a post of all my Las Vegas outfits. If you read my post on packing for Las Vegas HERE, you may have already seen a few of my outfit ideas for the trip, but I ended up switching a few things up last minute. I’m glad I brought some extra casual outfits because we didn’t end up staying out as late as we originally thought we would.
What I woe to travel to Las Vegas
White jeans aren’t always ideal for traveling in, but hey, I didn’t have my kids with me, so I went with it. I just wanted to be cute and comfortable and ready to go when we got off the plane.

What I wore in Las Vegas on our first night out
I was hot, so I changed into some shorts and a tank top as we searched for a place to grab a quick bite and get some drinks. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to see that so many bars and restaurants were closed because of Covid restrictions and low staff. We ended up walking around the casinos and found some food in the food court.

What I wore at the pool in Las Vegas
This black bathing suit from Amazon is my favorite bathing suit at the moment. It’s mom-friendly and covers my tummy, but I love the deep v-neck on it. It still has a sexy side to it.

This bathing suit cover-up was perfect to wear over my bathing suit. Vegas summers are hot, but after taking some dips in the pool it’s easy to cool down.

Early Evening/ Happy Hour Drinks Outfit
We had some time to kill between the pool and getting ready to go out for our dinner, so we hung out around the casino. This floral kimono was the perfect layer to wear in the cold A/C. It gave my outfit some color.

What I wore to dinner at Top of the World
I went with this bright pink tired dress for our anniversary dinner at Top of the World. These gold shoes were bought in college for a formal I went to. I have held on to them throughout the years because every once in a while I need to wear them.

Las Vegas pool outfit: Day 2
For my second day pool day outfit I went with another Amazon bathing suit. I wore this long kimono as my cover-up.

What I wore in Las Vegas on our last night out
For our last night out, we headed to the LINQ for some drinks and an early dinner at Yard House. I went with my white jeans and this cute halter top. The best part about Las Vegas in the summer is that even though it’s hot, it’s a dry heat. Which means I was perfectly comfortable wearing jeans in the shade when it was 100 degrees out.

Travel outfit home
I was ready to get home to our babies after only 2 days. I wanted to be very comfortable on the trip home, so I wore this stretchy pencil skirt and a t-shirt.

[…] I really love my thrifted leopard clutch. I brought it on my last trip to Las Vegas! (Read my post: What I Wore in Las Vegas to see all my outfits from that trip.) You also can’t go wrong with a fun pair of gold heels. […]
