This fall I have had a bunch of requests to style sweater dresses. Sweater dresses can be great to wear in the winter months because they are warm and cozy, but they can also be tricky to find new ways to wear. I am not a big fan of sweater dresses. I use to have one sweater dress a long time ago, but I never felt the urge to buy another one. I find them to be overly warm and last year when I was breastfeeding they were completely out of the question for me. This year I decided to give them a go and see what I could find.

I recently bought 2 affordable sweater dresses from Amazon. Both have a little different style and feel to them. Even though I often find sweater dresses hard to style, I was able to find a lot of different ways to wear these 2 dresses.
*For sizing references, I am 5’1 and 115 lbs. I bought both dresses in a size small.
Dress #1
This dress kept popping up on Amazon whenever I searched for sweater dresses. It comes in a lot of different colors but I really loved the orange. This dress fits true to size and it was a good length on me. The top part of the dress has an oversize feel to it. I personally felt this made my shoulders a little too big. The turtleneck was also a little tight around my neck. It gave me a neckbrace feel, so if you don’t like the feel of a tight turtle neck, this dress may not be for you. I still feel that it’s a cute and very cozy dress. Here are 4 ways you can style it.
Dress #2
This dress has a fitted feel to it, which I really like. It is ribbed, which I think is flattering on most bodies. Instead of a turtleneck, it had a cowl neck, which is much looser than a turtleneck and doesn’t make you feel like you are in a neck brace. This dress fits true to size and also has a good length. I went with black because I thought it would be the most versatile color for fall and winter. Here is how I style my black sweater dress.
