One of my favorite trending colors this spring is butter yellow. It’s such a fun color for the season and an easy way to brighten up your outfits. But I know it can feel a little intimidating. That’s why today I’m sharing lots of different color pairings with my butter yellow pants.

Butter Yellow Pants
I’ve always found colored pants to be a really fun way to make an outfit pop. There’s something about having a bright color on the bottom that adds a fun detail and makes the whole look feel more interesting. That’s why I almost always include a pair of colored pants in my capsule wardrobe posts.
This spring, I found this fabulous pair of butter yellow pants at maurices. I love the style of these—they’re a cropped wide-leg, which is one of my favorite silhouettes for spring. The denim material has a lot of stretch, making them super comfortable, but they still hold their shape really well. I’m wearing them in a size 0 petite, which is my normal size.
Here are 8 different color combinations I’m styling with these butter yellow pants this spring!
Outfit 1: Navy + Yellow
I love navy and yellow together! It’s always such a cute color combination, and if you’re a Michigan fan, it’s even better. I paired these pants with my navy cardigan, worn buttoned up, and accessorized with my loafers.

Outfit 2: White + Yellow
A white top is always a great choice when you have a pop of color on the bottom. I especially love this one because the eyelet details elevate the look. It’s such a cute elevated casual outfit for everyday wear.

Outfit 3: Gray and White Pinstripes + Yellow
This classic Oxford button-down shirt pairs perfectly with the yellow pants. I love that it has a light gray pinstripe pattern, which gives it a little more detail than a plain Oxford shirt. I paired it with some neutral accessories. This is a great look to wear to work.

Outfit 4: Pink + Yellow
This outfit just looks like candy to me. I wasn’t sure at first how this pink sweater would pair with these pants, but I’m loving how it all came together. I completed the look with my gold flats. This would be a great teacher outfit for spring!

Outfit 5: Pale Blue + Yellow
This pale blue is another favorite color of mine this spring. I think it pairs so well with the yellow pants. This blue cardigan is elevated with ruffled sleeves, which adds a fun detail. I also think this would make a great work outfit.

Outfit 6: Chocolate Brown + Yellow
Don’t put away your chocolate brown pieces yet—brown is still trending for spring! I paired my brown crewneck sweater with the yellow pants for an unexpected color combination. As a Western Michigan University alumna, I especially enjoy this color pairing!

Outfit 7: Sage Green + Yellow
I knew I had to pair these yellow pants with some sort of green, and this sage green top was the perfect shade to go with them. Its earthy tones pair really well with the pale yellow.

Outfit 8: Denim + Black + Yellow
I’ve always been a fan of pairing a denim jacket with a black top and colored pants. This outfit combination works great with the butter yellow pants. I kept this look casual with a pair of sneakers.
