I have recently had some requests to share some work-from-home outfits.  Many people were working from home before the pandemic happened, but now there are more people than ever who are still working from home.  I know that just within my own family, most of them are working remotely from home.  I feel like there are both pros and cons to working from home.  The pros for me would be that there is no commute, you are in the comfort of your own home and you get to create your own schedule.  The biggest cons for me would be staying focused and motivated all day.

I’ve been loving pleated skirts lately.  A few months ago I found this yellow pleated skirt at ThredUP and I’ve been dying to share it on the blog.  I’m also dying to actually wear it somewhere.  I think that it would be the perfect teacher skirt.  It makes me want to go out and get a new teaching job just so I can wear this skirt.  But since I’m not going to actually do that, I guess I will share it with all of you incase you are looking for a little work wear inspiration. Read more

I have to say that I am really loving being a stay-at-home-mom right now.  It’s so great being available all the time for my kids and not having to worry about my maternity leave ending soon.  It wasn’t an easy adjustment for me at first.  I really loved being a working mom too. There are some days where I really miss starting my morning early and heading to work.  I loved being a preschool teacher.  I loved the kids, I loved my co-workers, but most of all I loved planning out my work outfits.  Call me crazy, but I loved planning out what I was going to wear for the workweek.  I’d plan out my outfits for the week in advance.  I’d always try to mix and match my clothes the best I could and wear something new each day.  I always felt that when you are working with the same people every day, you start to learn their wardrobe.  That’s why I always tried to wear something a little different each day.Read more
