Winter has always been a hard season for me to dress for. It’s long, cold and I always find myself getting into a rut with my outfits. I don’t mind repeating my clothes, but when I continue to wear the same clothes over and over again, I get bored.
I decided that I needed something to help spice up my winter wardrobe and get me through the rest of the cold weather season. I figured a fun new pair of shoes would be the best way for me to switch up my wardrobe a bit. I wanted some sort of bootie that was different from the other booties that I already have. I ended up finding a pair of snakeskin booties at
Meijer where I do most of my grocery shopping. I haven’t bought any shoes at
Meijer in a really long time, but these shoes were exactly what I was looking for. They’re fun, edgy and they were on clearance for $12.99.
I love leopard print, but I felt like these were a fun print to have for a change. They go with everything and make a simple or boring look a little more fun. I put together 3 outfits wearing these snakeskin booties that I think would be great for a date night with your hubby or dinner out with friends. (Since I was 21 weeks pregnant in these photos, it’s hard to hide my baby bump, but these outfits are all made to be worn whether you are pregnant or not.)
Outfit #1: Sweater + White Jeans + Snakeskin Booties
I’ve been wearing this cranberry-colored tunic sweater quite a bit this winter. It’s just been one of those go-to pieces for me, especially since it’s long enough to wear with my baby bump. I decided to wear it with my white jeans just to brighten up the look. The snakeskin booties complete the look by adding a little fun to it.

Outfit #2: Black Blouse + Jeans + Snakeskin Booties
This black blouse is always a favorite of mine and I’ve had it for years. It’s just a simple shirt, but it does dress up jeans and makes for a great evening outfit. I love how the snakeskin booties add to the outfit.

Outfit #3: Moto Jacket + Swing Tank Top + Jeans + Snakeskin Booties
I love my moto jacket. I usually go for a blazer, but I think a moto jacket makes for an edgier layering piece. I paired mine with my swing tank top and jeans, then completed the look with my booties.
