Shopping Affordable Paper Bag Shorts

 

I feel like this summer has had a slow start.  The weather has been so weird this year around the country that it hasn’t really felt much like summer.  It’s taken me a while to get into summer fashion, but now that it’s finally starting to feel a bit more like summer, I’m all about summer clothes.  I love following all the trends and browsing around to see what everyone is wearing.

 

One summer trend that I’ve been eyeing for a while is the paper bag trend.  It sounds weird I know, but everything lately has a paper bag waist on it and I love it!  I’ve been wanting to find a cute inexpensive pair of paper bag shorts just to try them out and see if I like them for some time now and I finally did.  I went with a simple lightweight army green pair of paper bag shorts from Forever 21 (HERE) and I have to say I’m really loving them.  They are so comfortable and so lightweight, I feel like I’m wearing pajama pants. And for only $12, you really can’t beat the price.

On a side note, you should know that I took these pictures on a cold 55-degree June day.  It was my first time taking pictures outside at my new Michigan house.  I wasn’t feeling very summery with the wind and the grey skies, but I will say things are starting to warm up a bit. 

Forever 21 is one of those stores that I like to shop at when I’m looking for a specific trend, but I don’t want to spend a lot of money on it. You never know how long the trend is going to stick around.  I always find lots of cute styles there.  The only downside that I find when shopping at Forever 21 is that it can be a little overwhelming, plus I always feel so old there, especially when I bring Jack.  But my problem is solved because now I do most of my Forever 21 shopping online.  Using the search features always helps me narrow down the best price and styles.  Not to mention, they usually have free shipping for orders over $21, but if not I will usually just ship to the store. (I will do anything to not pay for shipping!!)  Below I listed my favorite Forever 21 paper bag shorts.
