It’s been a while since I’ve done a “how to wear” post. The last couple of months have been pretty rough and I’ve just been trying to get through my first trimester of pregnancy as smoothly as possible, but blogging was definitely put on hold. I’m slowly trying to get back into it now. Last week I posted my 5 favorite holiday wardrobe staples (check out that post HERE) and this week I thought I’d share 9 different looks with my new thrifted striped turtleneck.
Thrifted Floral Jumpsuit
Peplum Top Spring Look
I have had the biggest case of writer’s block for the last week. Every time I go to sit down to write this blog post, my brain goes blank. I have so much to say, yet I can’t get the words out. I took these pictures of this outfit weeks ago, but I just have nothing to go with it. So I decided since I’m a tired working blogging mom who is just trying to get to the weekend, I’m just going to leave this post as what it is. It’s a cute spring outfit featuring my thrifted Old Navy peplum top. It’s 50% thrifted and 100% budget-friendly. Since this outfit is made up of thrift finds and clearance finds, I don’t have the exact links to it, but you can find similar pieces linked below.
3 Ways to Wear a Corduroy Skirt
I’ve had really good luck with thrifting my skirts. You can usually find a lot of great basic skirts from thrift stores. I like the light khaki color of this skirt. I also think that corduroy is a great material for fall and winter. This skirt would make the perfect classroom skirt if your a teacher or for any office job. It’s also a perfect way to dress up a little bit more. Today I’ve styled it 3 ways to show you how easy it can be to add a corduroy skirt into your wardrobe.
Look #1- This look includes all my favorite things. A chambray top and a pop of leopard. This look is perfect for work. It’s really a simple look to pull off.
Look #2- I love to layer my button-down shirts with a cardigan. I love how it has a classic and preppy feel to it. The key is to cuff the sleeves. This shows off the blouse a little more and hides any imperfections and bumpiness you might get in your sleeves.
Look #3- Sweaters tucked in are such a trend right now. I never thought that would be a thing, but it looks so polished when you tuck your sweater. Wearing a sweater with a skirt can be the perfect combination in the winter.
