Is it still January?? This is the longest month of the year for me by far. It’s also probably one of the hardest months of the year for me to dress for. Coats and boots are all fun and cute the first few weeks you wear them, but when you need to be bundled up every day it can get a bit boring for me. That’s why this month I have been focusing on sharing a lot of easy winter outfit ideas. You may have seen some of my winter outfit reels on Instagram. It’s my way of inspiring all of you to step up your winter outfits, but it’s also forcing me to step it up as well.
Today I want to take a moment to chat about winter shoes. I don’t know about you, but winter shoes can be confusing at times. How do you stay cute and stylish, but also keep warm and dry in the yucky winter weather? That’s why today I want to break down the types of shoes that I wear during the winter months. I’ll tell you what type of weather I wear them in and also what kind of bottoms I wear with them. Hopefully, it will make planning out your winter outfits a little less confusing.
The holidays are over and now it’s time to head back to work. I always like to start off the new year refreshed and motivated. Some of you may have made a new year goal to dress cuter. I always feel like my outfit can help me have a more productive day, so when I was working I made it a goal to always wear something that I felt cute and confident in. Winter can be hard to stay creative though. I always find myself in an outfit rut in January. That’s why today I want to share 4 different wardrobe pieces that can help upgrade your workwear wardrobe this winter!
Every year I strive to be a more organized person. It’s something that doesn’t come naturally to me. My brain is all over the place. It’s filled with ideas and thoughts and having mom brain 24/7 doesn’t help me at all. When I was younger I struggled to stay organized and on task, but as I have gotten older I have learned ways to help me stay focused and be more efficient. My goal is always to work smarter not harder, yet sometimes that is much easier said than done. This is why I have created organized systems in every aspect of my life.
Welcome to 2022! I spent the last 2 weeks relaxing with my family. The days leading up to Christmas were a little rough for me. There was too much anticipation and excitement that I was struggling to hold everything together at home. I decided that I would take a little break or at least a break from caring. I stop caring about posting holiday outfit reel to Instagram or getting on my phone to check how my posts were doing or responding to the emails that came my way. Instead, I listened to a book and started watching the second season of You on Netflix. I did the things I never do in my free time, instead of the things I thought I should be doing and it was amazing! I spent more time being in the moment with my kids and enjoying them.
At the end of every year, I usually put out a post of my favorite finds from the previous year. This year I am switching it up. As I was going through my list of favorite purchases from the year, I realized that most of them were thrifted. Instead of sharing them all, I decided to break apart the post and share a round-up of my favorite thrift finds of the year separately. There were just too many good purchases from the year to narrow them down into one post.
