The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Preview is here! I am sure that if you follow any style blogger on Instagram you have already heard the news. I have always struggled with how to cover this sale. At times it can seem overdone, especially when it’s July and your entire Instagram feed is covered in sweaters and booties. But I’ve always loved following along with this sale. Not only do I shop it from time to time, but I also use it to build my fall wish list. This fall I have had a bunch of requests to style sweater dresses. Sweater dresses can be great to wear in the winter months because they are warm and cozy, but they can also be tricky to find new ways to wear. I am not a big fan of sweater dresses. I use to have one sweater dress a long time ago, but I never felt the urge to buy another one. I find them to be overly warm and last year when I was breastfeeding they were completely out of the question for me. This year I decided to give them a go and see what I could find.

I can’t believe that another month has past and it’s time to do another real-mom outfit of the day roundup. I honestly never know what to call these posts. I use to call them “What I Wore” posts, then I would say monthly posts. Lately, I have just been referring to them as real-life mom outfit-of-the-day roundups because that’s what they are. They are the real everyday outfits that I wear. I love putting together outfits, but when it comes to actually getting a chance to wear every outfit that I style for the blog it’s hard. I just don’t have that many exciting places to wear them to. That’s why I challenge myself every day to put on something that I feel good in.
Straight-leg jeans seem to be a hot topic at the moment. Ever since this idea that you are old if you still wear skinny jeans came about, everyone either seems to be running out and getting straight-leg jeans or holding their ground strong and refusing to wear them. Now I am not saying that I will be getting rid of my skinny jeans any time soon. I still prefer them over straight-leg jeans, but I do like to have a variety of jeans in my wardrobe. This helps my outfits stay fresh.
