One trend that I am loving this summer is women’s tailored shorts.  They are so clean and classic! A good pair of tailored trouser shorts can differently spruce up your summer outfits to give you a polished, yet comfortable look! I have been on the hunt for a pair of affordable women-tailored shorts.  When I found this pair of high-waisted tailored shorts from Old Navy, I was excited!  I tried them on earlier this year but waited a couple of months to buy them.  When I saw that they were 50% off during Memorial weekend I grabbed them! 

These shorts are so comfortable.  They look expensive with the way they are cut.  I really love the length.  They have a 6-inch inseam.  I also love that they have elastic in the back which gives them some stretch in the waist. They are the perfect pair of shorts to help elevate your outfits this summer!

Outfit 1: Tailored shorts + White button-down + Leopard belt + Braided sandals

There is nothing more classic than a white button-down shirt! I love this short sleeve button-down from Walmart. It pairs nicely with trouser shorts. I added a leopard print belt to add a small pop of pattern. To complete the look I wore my braided sandals.

Outfit 2: Tailored shorts + Chambray button-down + Straw accessories + Braided sandals

This look channels the coastal Grandma chic that was so popular last summer. I love the look of the chambray shirt with the high-waisted tailored shorts. The straw accessories also give it the perfect summer look!

I love this new striped tie-sleeve t-shirt from Stitch Fix! It’s a great elevated summer shirt so I knew I had to see how it looked with my new tailored shorts. I paired it with my straw tote and some studded sandals.

Outfit 5: Tailored shorts + Black ribbed tank top + Block heel sandals

This is a great outfit to wear on a date night! I love that it’s made with fundamental pieces like linen shorts and a black tank top, but adding some fun block sandals and turquoise accessories dresses it up and makes the outfit more exciting!

For this last look, I paired these trouser shorts with a white bodysuit. I love how it looks on its own but sometimes it’s nice to have a lightweight layer to throw over. This striped button-down shirt is the perfect summer layering piece!
