This summer has been a little chaotic. Between traveling all through June and figuring out how to work on content while entertaining my kids while they are off school, it’s been hard to balance any normal routine. That’s why I decided to take a little break from documenting my outfits each day and start a series on Instagram where I highlighted my favorite easy mom summer outfits that I’ve been wearing.

I love summer style! It’s so easy to get ready each day when you don’t need to worry about layers or yucky cold weather. However, I understand that for some women, summer style can be a challenge because it’s so hot. It’s easy to fall into a style rut when you are wearing less clothes.
I also feel that it’s especially tricky for moms to step up their style in the summer when their kids are home. It’s always nice to have that quality time with your kids, but at the same time, it throws off any normal routines you have in place. This can also be a roadblock to putting together cute summer outfits.
If you are struggling with your summer style, I have an email series called Summer Style School for Moms. In this series, you will get 5 emails with tips and outfit ideas of how you can feel more put together during the hot summer months. Make sure that you sign up HERE for all the details!
10 Easy Mom Summer Outfits
Day 1: Easy Throw-on-and-go Romper
I wore this outfit while we were in Florida at the beginning of June. Kevin picked up a flight at work in Sanford, Florida for some extra money and he brought me and the kids along with him. I have had this Amazon romper (similar) in my closet for a few years, but I haven’t worn it in a while. It was the perfect outfit to pack and wear while I ran errands near the hotel with the kids, while Kevin was working.

Day 2: Elevated shorts outfit
I wore this outfit to my mom’s house to celebrate Anna’s 4th birthday. I love these shorts from Walmart. They are such great quality you would never guess they are from Walmart. I also paired it with a striped tank top from LOFT. I feel like this look is the perfect elevated casual outfit for summer.

Day 3: Comfy overall romper
This outfit I wore while running some errands with the kids around town. This little overall romper is one of my favorite pieces this summer. You can wear it over a tank top like this, or use it as a bathing suit cover-up. I even included it in my summer mom capsule wardrobe.

Day 4: Comfy vacation outfit
This outfit was what I wore on Mackinac Island. My family and I went up to northern Michigan for 2 nights in June and we spent the day on Mackinac Island, which is one of our family’s favorite spots to visit in Michigan. We repeated our day from last year’s trip up north (read that post HERE). This outfit was perfect for riding bikes and exploring the Island. I love this Amazon tank top and it paired great with a comfy pair of shorts (similar).

Day 5: Midi denim skirt
I wore this outfit to go get my hair done in June. I never know what to wear when I go to the hair salon, but this look was perfect. With the midi denim skirt (similar) and black tank top it’s such an easy combination. I added a couple of accessories to help elevate the look and pull it all together.
Day 6: Cute skirt and tank top
This Amazon skirt is another piece in my closet that I didn’t get much wear out of last year, but I’m loving it this year. It’s so comfortable. I wore this outfit to run errands with my kids. A pro tip for wearing skirts like this around children is to always make sure that you wear bike shorts underneath. They have saved me many times!
Day 7: Easy Amazon romper
I wore this Amazon romper the week of the 4th of July. This is another easy throw-on-and-go outfit. It’s great to wear in hot weather and it doesn’t require many accessories with it. I also love how stretchy it is. Another favorite accessories of mine this summer are my gold slide sandals. I love this style and having them in a metallic color helps dress up some of my casual outfits.

Day 8: Pleated skirt and a graphic tee
This might be my favorite outfit I’ve worn so far this summer. I wore this outfit to Target and Aldi’s with the kids and I felt so good in it. I love taking dressy clothes, like this pink pleated skirt, and dressing them down with a casual piece like this graphic tee. It creates balance and proves that you can be a mom, dress practical and comfortable, but still look cute.

Day 9: Green cropped wide-leg pants
I wore this outfit twice this summer because I loved it so much. Plus, I wasn’t able to get a good picture of it the first time around with Anna jumping in front of me. I wore it to run errands and also to a family gathering. These green cropped wide-leg pants are one of my favorites. They are great year-round pants to have. (See how I styled them HERE!)

Day 10: Easy romper and sandals
This is another easy Amazon throw-on-and-go piece. It’s a romper and has shorts underneath that are connected, but it looks like a dress. I like that you can easily layer a top under it or just a cute bra top like what I’m wearing here. I paired it with my dad sandals from Target, which have been a great pair of summer shoes for me.
