I don’t know why, but in the winter I gravitate more towards skirts. I love dresses, but skirts seem more versatile in the winter. I wear skirts the most around the holidays. It’s the perfect excuse to get me out of my everyday mom outfits and dressed up. Today I want to share 4 styles of skirts in my wardrobe that I love to wear around the holidays. I’ve also linked some affordable skirts below!

We all know that Black Friday is the big shopping day that falls on the Friday after Thanksgiving, but the Saturday after Thanksgiving is Small Business Saturday. I always look forward to that day because it’s the best day to find deals at your favorite small shops in your community and online. I love to shop at small businesses because they offer unique gift ideas that other stores don’t have. Your purchases at small shops help keep these businesses thriving and giving back to the community.
Holiday Gift Guides for Kids
Christmas is so fun when you have little kids. Of course, you want to give them the world, but you also want them to learn that Christmas isn’t all about gifts. Material items only go so far so last year when I was trying to figure out what to buy my kids for Christmas I reached out to my Instagram followers for suggestions on how to simplify the holidays and not go overboard on kid gifts. The one suggestion that really stuck with me was to give your child something they want, something they need, and something to read. I thought that was a great idea and that’s why this year I wanted to break down my gift guides that way.
Old Navy Fall Try-On Haul 2021
I don’t know about you, but I always feel like Old Navy is at its best in the fall! I love to see all the new trends and styles this time of the year. I also get excited when they bring back some of my favorite staples. Last year I did a fall Old Navy try-on post (Post HERE) and so this year I thought it would be fun to do it again!
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale- Splurge or Save
It’s that time of the year again. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is in full swing and I’m sure that you have seen at least one blogger do a try-on haul of the sale by now on Instagram. I’m not going to lie, I actually do enjoy seeing what everyone buys. I mean I would be excited too if I got to shop the sale the first week and leave with six bags full of goodies. However, I have to wait until the sale goes public on July 28th to shop it. This isn’t a bad thing though. It actually gives me plenty of time to plan out my wishlist and think about the items I really want, then enough time to talk myself out of it and look for affordable options.
Walmart Finds- Free Assembly Memorial Day Look

It’s no secret that Walmart has really stepped up their game in the fashion business over the last few years. They went from a store that people felt embarrassed about buying their clothes from, to a store that people proudly clothes shop at and share their finds all over the internet. I hugely support what they are doing on the fashion front. They are selling affordable stylish clothes that everyone has access to, no matter how big or small their budget may be. I have shopped at Walmart here and there over the years, but now that I am doing the majority of my shopping online, Walmart has become one of my top 5 stores that I shop for clothes at.
