To me, nothing says fall like a little leopard in my outfit. I love adding a pop of leopard here and there. Lately, I’ve been moving beyond my leopard accessories and trying out more leopard clothing pieces. I recently got this leopard long sleeve crew neck t-shirt from Amazon. I always get worried about having too much leopard in my outfit, but I find this shirt to not be as overwhelming with the print as it seems. By adding in different layering pieces you can break down the print if it’s too much. I like that it’s not too heavy, so it’s great to wear in early fall, then as it gets colder it will be nice to layer under my cardigans.Read more

I’ve read a lot of blog posts over the years and one thing that they all have in common is that they are mostly focused on how to start blogging for a profit. Sometimes those posts can be overwhelming for someone who is just looking to start a blog as a hobby. Back when I started my blogging journey I had no idea that blogs were used as a source of income. I started blogging purely because I enjoyed it and I was looking for a hobby for myself. It was never to make tons of money.

I have to say that I am really loving being a stay-at-home-mom right now. It’s so great being available all the time for my kids and not having to worry about my maternity leave ending soon. It wasn’t an easy adjustment for me at first. I really loved being a working mom too. There are some days where I really miss starting my morning early and heading to work. I loved being a preschool teacher. I loved the kids, I loved my co-workers, but most of all I loved planning out my work outfits. Call me crazy, but I loved planning out what I was going to wear for the workweek. I’d plan out my outfits for the week in advance. I’d always try to mix and match my clothes the best I could and wear something new each day. I always felt that when you are working with the same people every day, you start to learn their wardrobe. Back in my teenage years and early ’20s having a tan was everything. Growing up in Michigan, there was nothing better than coming back to school after a long vacation week with a golden tan to show off during the winter months. It meant you went somewhere fun and sunny. It was the best souvenir you could get. I spent my summers laying out at the pool with my friends, only using a tanning oil with 8 SPF in it. In the winter, I’d get a tanning package and lay in the tanning bed a couple times a week. Winter was much more bearable when you had a nice tan. After college, in my mid-20’s, I started to worry about the effects my skin might have from all those years of tanning. I started to slow up on my sun exposure and test out spray tans. Around the time of my wedding and some of my friend’s weddings, I got a few spray tans for the big events. Unfortunately, those tans always left me looking orange and blotchy. We’ve all seen the spray tanning episode of Friends and seen what happened to Ross. That’s something I needed to avoid.

Anna is 2 months already and this summer is flying by. I spent the beginning of the summer pregnant and wishing away every day and now I’m spending the end of the summer wishing each day wouldn’t end. Babies grow way too fast so I just want to soak in every day I have with my baby girl. I am enjoying having a baby again so much. I have a friend who is always giving me great content for my blog. She often will text me when she needs help picking out an outfit for something, whether it be for church or vacation.
