I wasn’t planning on sharing this dress in a blog post, but then I decided that it was just too good not to share as many times as I could. Just when I thought that I was done shopping for the year, I saw this dress at Old Navy and because I am loaded up with super cash I decided to grab it. (Super cash gets me every time! 😂) I love the dress because it’s very basic. On its own, it’s just a plain dress, but once you play around with it and add some layers and accessories it becomes this very cute fun little dress.
This fall I have had a bunch of requests to style sweater dresses. Sweater dresses can be great to wear in the winter months because they are warm and cozy, but they can also be tricky to find new ways to wear. I am not a big fan of sweater dresses. I use to have one sweater dress a long time ago, but I never felt the urge to buy another one. I find them to be overly warm and last year when I was breastfeeding they were completely out of the question for me. This year I decided to give them a go and see what I could find.Read more
The last couple of weeks I have been struggling to keep up on blog posts. I have so many things I want to share on here, but it’s been so hard for me to set aside time to get all the things done. Between having an active/mobile baby now, and also a sassy 5-year-old on my hands, I feel like I don’t have any downtime to just sit at my computer and write. I try to stay up after the kids go to bed at night, but that has been hard for me. Some nights I just can’t do it and I head to bed right away, but other nights, like tonight, I try my best to get as much as I can done, so let’s see how that works. 😂

When it comes to dressing for winter, it’s all about layers. You always need to be prepared for changing temperatures outside and inside. I’ve never liked big bulky winter clothes, that’s why if you peek into my closet you will see lots of lighter clothes that can easily be layered.
The key to keeping your layered outfits comfortable is to avoid over-layering. You don’t want your outfit to feel stiff and hard to move in. No one wants to feel like the kid from A Christmas Story…hahaha. I like to stick with lightweight clothes. Most of my sweaters aren’t very thick and fit nicely under a jacket or over a button-down shirt. Read more
Did you catch my latest reel style video over on Instagram? If not, I shared a few ways to style my favorite plaid scarf. (Check out my reel HERE) I bought this plaid scarf last December at a local second-hand store. I’ve been looking for a plaid scarf like this for years. I love that it has green and red, so it’s great to wear around the holidays, but I also wear it throughout the winter with my coats. Sometimes it’s tricky to figure out how to wear a scarf. You would think it would be pretty easy, but it’s not always.
